Thankyou kind sir/miss! If you wanted to learn, i’d get yourself a haynes manual for said car, or get yourself a backdated copy of the AA book of the car, that one taught me a lot! I see what you’re getting at, depends how old the car is, most new cars are too complicated to maintain yourself and you dont often need to anyway because they barely break. Theres a girl at my college who has a super expensive classic fiat 500 that her parents bought her and shes always flooding the engine with the choke and shit like that, i can guarantee she cant check the oil level and she should know how to!

It is indeed a matter of different interests. Most people at college just buy a car, bolt the biggest sub they can in the back and leave it at that, but at least you can acknowledge the fact you dont know instead of pretending you do!

But yeah, waffling, get yourself a book if you’re interested in learning!
